We always loved going to Langan's but Langan's has closed
I would definitely recommend Langan's to friends - and have done over the years. Unfortunately, due to a ridiculous rent increase, Langan's closed its doors on January 18. The restaurant will be MISSED.
Had a great time, sorry to hear they are closing.
Always good. Best Mac and cheese! We come here often for before and after theater. Great food and good prices. No rushing!! Will miss this location when it closes on January 18 but will certainly be frequenting the other locations.
I truly appreciated the great efforts the staff went to. Food was excellent!
Beer was great!
Live music absolutely terrific!!!
Langan's is a favorite spot for my friends and I. Unfortunately, after 25 years, Langan's will be closing their doors at 12:01 AM on January 18, 2018 due to an exorbitant rent increase. Langan's will be missed!!!
Great Food, Great Staff and Great Atmosphere. I would recommend this to everyone.
had pre theater dinner- near the subways and theaters-
decent food- good prices /friendly service
This is the third time I’ve been to Langan’s, and all three times have been excellent. Terri Rickwell, the hostess/ owner is always friendly and a gracious host. Straight from Dublin, Ireland Terri has added her hometown to Langan’s. The food is fresh, delicious and piping hot when it arrives at your table. I’ve been to Langan’s for my girls night out and dinners with my sister. I highly recommend Langan’s for an excellent meal.
This was a casual, comfortable dining experience. It wasn't too expensive, and it was comfortable with great atmosphere. Would highly recommend it to anyone coming into the city.
Always enjoy our meal at Langans. Friendly atmosphere, good service, varied menu choices...Irish fare, sandwiches and burgers, entrees. Great for pre-post theater visit. Active bar scene, but quiet dining area for a nice meal.
This is our new "go to" place for a quick bite before the theatre--good place for friends to come together. The turkey burger was great with these cool, swirly big fries. Service was friendly and fast. There was a group behind us that was loud--it was the week before Christmas so all was good.
Langan’s offers great food, terrific service and warm hospitality...
And the manager, Teri, takes care of everyone!
And this week was no exception.
Great food and service
We came into NY for an over night with my granddaughter. Langan's is her favorite!!( she is 11) and she LOVES their Mac and cheese almost more than her mom's ( she is VERY fussy!)
Have eaten here several times pre-theater. They never fail to get us in and out in a timely fashion with good grace and humor. And the food does not suffer with the quick service!
It was a fantastic experience, as always. The staff is friendly, and the food is amazing. We've been there several times, and have enjoyed it every time. Langan's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
My wife and I had a wonderful Holiday lunch. Great atmosphere, cozy booth, outstanding staff
and a great addition to the holiday tour of NYC.
This was our first time to New York. I choose this restaurant because they had fish and chips. My husband's fried cod was full of grease when he cut into it. Mine was perfect. The waitress ask how is everything my husband told her about the very grease cod and she laughed and replied it is fried and walked away. We drank water because she forgot to ask if we wanted anything to drink other then water. The restaurant was not very busy therefore there was no reason for such poor service. Sad for the restaurant they are only as good as there staff.
Great food, great family and friendly atmosphere.
Very accommodating, nice atmosphere, good food!
Good place. Nothing over the top
We were in New York for the holiday lights and went to Lanigans before the theatre. Got there early and stayed 2.5 hours. Great time and great staff!
Martinis smaller than in previous years, always get chicken pot pie, excellent Got Fish and chips this time, not that great .
We all had the Irish specialties which all enjoyed. We had lunch in the mid-afternoon in the table-cloth section of the restaurant, so it was quiet.
Visiting from Cincinnati OH. This was our second dinner there. Will return next year. Great location for dinner before the theatre. The Christmas decorations added to the ambiance. Langan's is a place we recommend to friends. Loved exiting thru the crowds in the bar'
This is my restaurant of choice when I am in New York city. Very nice people and I love the food. We always tell our waiter that we usually need to catch a bus and they always make sure we have enough time to eat and have dessert if we want it. It is also very reasonable priced.
Always great before a show - so good, you almost want THIS to be the show!
My family and I had dinner here on a Saturday night, then I returned with friends later in the week. Both times, the food was very good, the staff helpful, and the restaurant not too noisy. On Saturday night, we were late for our reservation by a half hour due to traffic, and they were kind enough to hold it for us. Its location to Times Square is perfect. We all ate dinner and still made our Broadway show with time to spare. When I returned with friends during the week, we didn't have a reservation and only waited about ten minutes for a table.
I recommend Langans and will definitely return!
Pre theater lunch for 5 friends. We were late, due to traffic, but service was great and we even had time to spare. Started with well made drinks. All had burgers except me. I had a very good chicken pot pie.
All was nicely served and everyone agreed we would go here again.
Great ‘go to’ Irish pub spot in midtown.
All the food you’d expect with good service. Not too loud at lunch.
This was my My 2nd time and i will keep going back
Waitresses and manager were so amazing. Professional and fun.
Great time tonight but didn’t realize only thanksgiving menu so we also ordered off the Bar menu - I was looking forward to Shepard’s pie bummer - food was good as well as service but wish I knew limited menu tonight
Langan’s always provides a hospitable dining experience! And Teri, the manager takes great care of you, even when she’s supposed to be away that day!
I was previewing Sponge Bob Square Pants before taking the grandkids in December and decided to stop for dinner at Langan's before the show. The fish and chips were very good as always. When the family comes to town we enjoy going to Langan's for jazz brunch. I also enjoy stopping off after a show for some drinks and appetizers with friends.
Great fish and chips and always a featured drink of the day tequila sunrise in November-- why not!?
Langan’s has been a consistently high quality restaurant for years with a great atmosphere and friendly service.
And the manager Teri is always around to maintain the high standard.
We ordered the fish special which was sub-par that day. Staff and chef were very apologetic and prepared us a new dish. They also discounted our meal. Would not hesitate to return but may stick to their classic Irish fare!
Pre theater, got us out in plenty of time. Needs mor bathroom stalls. Very convenient to court theater.
