"We went to the Red Oak to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was a busy Friday night and the noise level was high. Our waiter was very good even though he was very busy. We started with bruschetta, which was very good, my husband had pan seared walleye & I didn’t want to have the same thing so I ordered the deep fried walleye. It was pretty greasy but his pan seared was excellent. Even though we mentioned our anniversary in our online reservation, no mention was made of it.
We like the farm to table idea and locally sourced food so we want Red Oak to succeed. We’d suggest putting more sound absorbing materials in the dining area to make conversation easier."See more
