The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day.     Three of us went to celebrate my birthday. Our server, Evan, was outstanding and the food was amazing! Two of us eat a plant based diet and the third is an omnivore. We had a beet appetizer, two corn and tomato risotto entrees, and a sirloin steak with green beans and potatoes. We all devoured everything! Top notch from top to bottom!

    Food was great, clean and friendly. Took my wife for her birthday and it was a very enjoyable first time experience. We sat outside and very much enjoyed it hearing the swimming pool water flow, watching people drive golf carts on the course. Would definitely recommend to anyone to try these guys. No necessary dress code (even though it seems fancy) as people will come off the courses in shorts and those celebrating birthdays or anniversaries tend to dress fancier but it is whatever you feel comfortable in. Will definitely be back!
