Chef Luciano Canova was born in 1949, on a small farm just outside of Rome, Italy. Chef Luciano grew up with his parents & grandparents where good food, using the freshest of ingredients, was always a staple. His passion for food was instilled in him as a small child in his home and led him to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of Italy. After graduating, Luciano worked all around the world perfecting his craft in places like Switzerland, Germany, and on a luxury cruise line.  The Torre Restaurant Group family of restaurants has grown to serve customers throughout Southern New England with authentic Italian food. We have eight locations, all offering different ways to explore the many tastes of Italy! Our newest location here in Mansfield, is the first location that merges all our dining concepts into one.     Nice pleasant clean atmosphere. The employees were super nice and helpful. The food was great - (note) too much salt added for my liking. I highly recommend to this place.

    Do not hesitate!!! Tonight was our first night going here and I’m so happy my daughter picked this place. Food was delicious and fresh. Our server was phenomenal which was a nice bonus. It’s all about the food for me and this place was perfect. Veal parm could be cut with a fork and the red sauce was delicious. Seafood dishes were also top notch

    The server was good, food was OK. The seafood (mussels) were a little fishy. The room was great- the view. We were a party of 8 and originally were seated separately. When asked the hostess to be together, she said “you can move the tables” so I had to move the tables myself. No plates, no silverware, dirty floors. Definitely not clean after previous party.

    We were a party of 4, old friends who hadn’t seen each other in many years, and decided to meet at Porticello. The food was spectacular! I also liked that while the restaurant was crowded, it wasn’t noisy, so it was easy to hear each other talk. The service was a bit slow, but we were not in a rush. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
