The building was originally the grocery section of the J.F. Cairns Department Store dating back to 1907.     The current menu is ok. I’ve had wonderful meals here but I think we were a bit underwhelmed with what we ordered. I don’t think this is a criticism of the food quality , just that the menu fell a bit flat for us. Looking forward to giving it another try soon.

    Had a wonderful experience. Our server, Heather, was helpful, friendly, and on top of our every need. She answered all our questions, and was very pleasant. The Chef, Angus, even came out and told us about the Cold-smoked Ribeye with bone in Special, that was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our picky 15yo son said it was the best steak he has ever had (and I bbq an excellent Rib steak). The flavors were top level and the experience was fabulous to celebrate Mother’s Day a bit early. Thanks Carvers.

    Food was OK steak was great but appies were just OK. We had a new server who was nervous but was super friendly, she made a few rookie mistakes but management took care of it without us asking. I would ho back.

    We enjoyed our meals and wine and the chocolate dessert was EXCELLENT! Pretty sweet, but perfect to share. We were so full with the huge portions that we ended up with 3 take away boxes — looking forward to leftovers!
