The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. As well as being host to countless weddings, parties and private events, our 16 acres of private gardens make us the perfect location to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea.Relax in our hotel lounge with your homemade scones or lap up the sun on our garden terrace with a glass of prosecco. Either way, you are bound to leave full to the brim. Our afternoon teas are available every day between midday and 5pm. Don't miss our festive afternoon teas, replacing our traditional menu throughout December. Dinner service is also available to book, Tuesday to Saturday, from 6:30pm until 9pm.

    Amazing food ! Service was impeccable!! it was a very busy night at Lebnani but we got such brilliant service and delicious food; that we didn’t even notice the people around us . I was so glad we had booked as it was clear that many people were turned away . The table is only booked for 90minutes so we took our dessert home with us . We were celebrating birthdays and new jobs; so our meal was the perfect way to enjoy family time together . We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu

    We always enjoy our occasional Sunday lunch at the Well House. With the weather, it was a lot quieter than usual. The service was swift, efficient and friendly as ever. No skimping on staff numbers! Food was good: I had the roast beef, and - as I am not a vegetable lover - was given an extra Yorkshire and roast potatoes without asking for or paying extra for. Three nice thick slices of beef. My mother had the scampi, which she particularly enjoys with the accompanying salad, and as a light eater she took home a doggie-bag of crispy chips. We didn't drink much, so with one pudding and a coffee between us, the bill came in at £56 - good value for a Sunday lunch.
