Long before the farm-to-table trend invaded America, Louisa’s espoused this philosophy, and served food to match. The tiny-but-iconic eatery was established in 1980 and has been dishing out incredibly fresh and delicious food in the small historic yellow building ever since. The menu is all regional fare — fish caught from the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay, plus vegetables, fruits, herbs (and beautiful fresh flowers) from West Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm, augmented by produce from other New Jersey farms. The kitchen philosophy is to cook simple, expertly seasoned dishes that are lovingly prepared and made from fresh, first-rate ingredients. The menu changes often but the one constant you’ll find here is the dedication to a great dining experience.

The bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in continuous operation in the country. By the mid 1930s, the ice cream parlor had become the dining room and the business was operated as a restaurant as it is to this day. Our kitchen is under the direction of Chef Todor Videv. Beautiful, heart of Cape May restaurant. Service was outstanding, not at all pretentious. As we were waiting for our table, in rockers on the porch, the owner came up and thanked us for coming. We each had their Wagyu burger and enjoyed it immensely. The frites were perfectly cooked and plentiful. Our server was delightful. Can’t wait to return to this lovely French restaurant.

The dinner was the best on Cape May. I had the soft shell crab appetizer and it was perfection. Don't miss this treat! I had the halibut entree and it was also delicious. I do appreciate more vegetables on my plate so that would be the only downside. The homemade donuts for dessert did not disappoint. This restaurant is a gem. The flavors were NYC worthy. I dined on the front porch which was a lovely atmosphere.

4 of us had a fantastic dinner at Tisha’s last night on the back patio. We were greeted by a super nice hostess. Our server, Cat was great. Very professional with a great sense of humor. Our mixed greens blueberry goat cheese salad was to die for. All of our entrees were absolutely delicious! I had the crab cake & shrimp dish & asked for my sauce on the side because typically stay away from cream sauces. I ended up drizzling it around my plate to use as I pleased. I finished the entire portion. So flavorful & not heavy. Seafood risotto was fabulous, chicken dish & pork chop wonderful! You know you are truly enjoying a dining experience when you order dessert! Fantastic night. We will be back!

Louisa’s is never a disappointment! Our appetizer, salads, entrees & desserts were delicious. The only comment about service is they are too fast; otherwise, we had a wonderful meal.
