Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine. The covered patio dining area, and massive outdoor bar, the shark bar, allows patrons to enjoy the Lowcountry climate and serve to further highlight the amazing sunset views over skull creek. If you are concerned about long wait times, the good news is the restaurant accepts reservations and provides a family recreation area between dockside and boathouse. Kids and adults can enjoy a variety of games, the very popular shark bar and 'shrimp boat' playground. Kids can play while families are waiting for a table, or simply enjoying the amazing waterfront views.

Focusing predominately on fresh local seafood with a French, Lowcountry flare, Charlie’s is the place for good food, good wine and unforgettable memories all enjoyed in a quaint French country atmosphere.A Savannah native, Charlie Golson’s interest in the French language and culture took him to Paris. After a long stint in the fast paced hotel kitchens of Washington DC, he was ready to move back closer to home. It was at that time he was able to open up a one room French bistro. The restaurant has grown over the years, but the ‘Green Star’ remains steadfast in offering the finest ingredients the Low country has to offer with a menu that is hand written daily. Resort Casual.

The new Chef Robert…is superb. I’ve heard some of you ‘complain’ that the menu wasn’t as eclectic, so to speak…. But if you’re looking for a really beautifully prepared dinner, and a great experience, then go. We ordered every single appetizer just to experience what Chef Robert had to offer. Loved his take on the Brussels Sprouts with a little kick of chili oil. Really unique and yummy; but not too overpowering. The Burrata was lovely and especially loved the toast points offered with it. Entrees…the filet was PERFECTLY prepared. So flavorful, juicy and tender. The potato purée was heavenly. Sautéed spinach had the right touch with not too much garlic. Pappardelle with sirloin tips was homemade, and tasted like it, which is a feat unto itself! Pork chop was also juicy and a total hit with the table. Sarah with her amazing attention to you and your table, makes you want to say “Come sit down and have a cocktail with us!” We’ll be back. Right now I’d say it’s Best in Beaufort….
