Restaurants near The Walters Art Museum

Last night our dinner was exceptional I’ve never gotten a bad meal at Sotto and we have been coming to this restaurant for 25 years. Chef Ricardo was there last night with his lovely wife and daughter. We always bring our out of town guests and this place never disappoints.

The menu offered a variety of options for any pallet. I order the chicken entree; the chicken breast was flavored well and it melted in my mouth. The service was great. However, I visited not only for the food, but also for the roof top dining. The roof top experience was not as expected. My party of four was seated in a booth with a very limited view. We could not see beyond the filthy windows. We asked to be moved to an empty table with a better view (the high top table) and were told that they were reserved for parties of six…very disappointing. If you want the roof top experience while dining, make sure you have a party of 2 or 6.

Escargot plainly served with garlic and butter would be better than the forestiere in porcini stock. And the duck hash is a bit dry. On the other hand, the specialty cocktails are outstanding and the onion soup is magnifique. And the wine choice was perfect and very reasonably priced. I will return for the evening menu, as I only had access to the brunch menu Saturday afternoon My expectations are high!

Love the specialty cocktails and the music selection is always great. It's always a great time and everyone I bring to visit, really enjoy the atmosphere and entire experience.
