The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. I had the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked. They let me substitute potatoes for more salad and my dinner was perfect. Beautiful old stone house, with fire places in every room. Because weather was good we ate on the patio. A lovely evening.

Went for a birthday dinner. Service and servers were outstanding. Lovely ambiance and quiet thought to be fair we were there very early evening. Oue sausage appetizer was delicious and a 5. I was slightly disappointed with the half roasted duck. It may be I am spoiled as we have eaten duck all over the world and the best duck I have had, the skin was crispy little to no fat with moist meat below. My duck dish though tasty did not have a crispy skin and the breast meat was somewhat dry. Dessert was classic apple taste and is was good. Overall good experience.
