BEAR Hockley is perched slap-bang in the middle of Nottingham's creative neighbourhood. With its small red frontage nestled in amongst the rainbow colours of Carlton Street, the store has a lot more to show off inside than first meets the eye. Expect light, breezy decor, cosy coffee & cocktail nooks, and (our favourite feature) a beautiful glass roof that floods the place with natural sunlight.

Red Dog is an authentic Bar and American BAR-B-Q restaurant, serving 18-hour roast ribs, brisket, aged chuck steak burgers and much more, all best enjoyed with tasty cocktails or milkshakes.Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky and juicy taste to the meat. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 18 hours.

Pho Nottingham is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK.     We always go to Bear, when we are in Nottingham for a family catch up. We love it! The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere

    3rd visit and the food has always been excellent and nicely presented. We ordered a beer which was £6 and came in a can. Not really what you expect from a restaurant. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient but the guy who greeted us was not particularly welcoming and not a smile to be seen. Maybe he was having a bad day.

    Lovely hidden gem of a restaurant. Food is amazing and the price for the set courses (you can choose two or three courses) very good for the quality of the food. The restaurant is housed inside a larger building and after office hours you will need to ring a bell to be let in. The wait between arrival, drinks and food was just right. The whole dining experience was great and I would definitley recommend visiting this lovely restaurant.

    Cracking food, Kentucky platter with Philly Cheese stake burgers. Attentive service Reasonable price for what you get. Drinks are over priced though.
