Five prominent oaks that stood in a semi-circle on the front lawn gave the estate its original name: Five Oaks. The estate has operated as a dining establishment and bar since 1961.The Oaks has become best known for the glorious wedding ceremonies and receptions held exclusively on the property. We are also well known for our traditional Easter, Mother's Day and Thanksgiving Buffets. Made our visit to City Square Steakhouse while attending the Ohio Light Opera. The experience, always good in the past, has been enhanced because they have expanded their space since our last visit. We were seated in the new room that is further from the bar area, so it is quieter. The steaks (filet and NY strip) were excellent, as were the appetizers and salads. We even found room for coffee and dessert, though we should have split one dessert instead of getting two.

Food and service were excellent. Nicely decorated and pretty busy for a Monday evening. We did have reservations for three. Highly recommend.
