The Story of Josephine’sThe story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

One of the nicest establishments in Lancaster. I have been to the upstairs bar several times for a casual cocktail and happy hour. Love the decor. This was our first time in the formal dining room. Very classily decorated. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and when we arrived to our table there was a special birthday place card with his name on it. Great food and atmosphere for a special occasion. I would recommend reservations any day of the week. No reservations available in the bars, I found out. Excellent customer service. Excellent cocktails.

Great service and food Not sure why alcoholic beverage costs are soo high and much higher comparatively with other local restaurants. This will most likely cause us to chose other restaurants over iron hill.

The Filet Mignon (the special the night we were there) was fabulous and cooked to perfection. It was served with french fries (really???) which were just average. The service was wonderful and the dessert was excellent also. We had cappuccino and expresso, and they make decaf versions of those also, if desired. We sat outside on a perfect evening, though the noise level was moderate since we were near the open doors to the restaurant itself and therefore near the bar. This restaurant is exceptional, but pricey. It's perfect for those special occasions and celebrations when you don't mind spending a bit extra for the highest quality in steaks and service.
