Been to this restaurant many times. Service is variable but last night it was excellent. The problem in the conservatory area is it is very noisy and consequently everyone speaks loudly. It needs some baffle boards to deaden the sound. Food was excellent and situation by the river Tummel is outstanding. I would recommend.

Nice relaxing place to eat with good service Just to say they accept dogs in the restaurant, I have been there twice since it has changed hands and in my opinion it has improved overall. The menu was traditional with Skullen skink and haggis tempting me. The only issue with the food is that the pie (with very tasty meat) was not encapsulated in pastry but a dish of meat with a piece of puff pastry sat on top. It is one of my pet annoyances and I should of asked before I ordered it, There is good veggie and vegan options I will return and enjoy more good hospitality

From the moment we arrived, we were made very welcome. The service was exceptionally friendly. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant but then moved outside for drinks because the weather was so good and the views from the beer garden are spectacular! We’ll be back soon!
