Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Nebo Lodge is a small inn and restaurant on the unbridged island of North Haven, Maine. Dining at Nebo Lodge requires a boat ride to reach North Haven. The Maine State Ferry does not accommodate dinner reservations as the last ferry departs North Haven at 3:45pm. Lovely restaurant in an historic building. Local crab cakes were well seared and flaky and the oysters were plump and very fresh. The Salmon and Peas dish was delicious. The local salmon was tender and succulent. Drinks were reasonably priced, with the spicy “Bucket Brigade” a fun libation. Service was excellent, with a team approach.

Our dinner for two at Kanù was a super cool experience. The fire and the lights made for a great vibe, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the apple cheesecake!

This was a random Monday evening so perhaps we can excuse the unbussed tables as the result of a slow night. We saw a grand total of 3 employees in the restaurant, and only one server for the entire dining room. That said, the food was about what you might expect from a chain pizza operation, especially given that we ordered their deep dish (not a very deep dish if you ask me) pizza x 2. Nothing very wrong, but the entire operation seemed tired. A little paint, some new decorative details, and some customers would be a great improvement. Not sure if we will be back or not.

We traveled over five hours from Massachusetts to check out a local college and stayed overnight in Bangor. My nephew loves BWW and it was a great time to relax with him after a long day. The food was perfect and the wait staff was great. Highly recommended
