Yardbird is our rotisserie chicken restaurant upstairs above The Dirty Onion. Our menu is small but our flavours are big. Ok, we do chicken, but our chicken is famous!Our local free-to-roam chicken is marinated for 24 hours in lemon, buttermilk, and paprika. It is then dry-rubbed, cooked and blast-chilled to keep it juicy and finally roasted on the spit. Ribs and wings are also available, as are a choice of sides and homemade desserts.     Fab service from some lovely staff who were extremely helpful. Food was tasty but I was gutted that the burger wasn’t gluten free as would have hoped the meat would have been 100% beef rather than added in wheat so unfortunately options for me were limited. However, everyone else enjoyed their meals and the kids portions were huge!!

    The food and choices were fantastic. Presentation of the food was outstanding and the flavours were very discernible and distinctive. The service was wonderful and humble and very accommodating to my requests. I’ll definitely return. The vegetarian options were fabulous. I just wish the tables were bigger to accommodate all our dishes more comfortably as they were too small for 2 people to sit at and have an array of dishes at the same time. The prawns in the mango prawn salsa were incredibly sumptuous and craving them again. Thank you Guru for a fantastic and enjoyable visit.

    Been a couple of times now and it's a great wee hidden gem, the food is fantastic and the cheapest drink in Belfast city centre.
