Beggar's Banquet has been making folks in East Lansing, Michigan beg for more since 1973. Not that the servings are small, but because you just don't want to stop experiencing one delicious menu item after another. It actually got its name from the proprietor's favorite Rolling Stones album that was released in 1968. The American cuisine at Beggar's Banquet is full of comfort food but with an elegant twist here and there. Options are plenty on the lunch menu, dinner menu, daily brunch menu and Sunday brunch menu. One notable item is the smoked salmon cake platter. The salmon is house-smoked then formed into three New England-style cakes, each with a different flavoring for variety that goes beyond anything you have ever had. First time dining at the Lansing Location. We had great service and everything was fantastic. Only complaint was sitting adjacent from the door it was pretty drafty since it’s such a small spot but other than that 10/10.

Once again, Mitchells comes through. We sat at the bar (by choice). Kylie waited on us. We asked for her to take time serving our 3 course meal (a steal at $39...). She was great! Art, the manager, also kindly stopped by to check on us. (We're somewhat regulars)... Still the best fish place in mid-michigan by far...

Alicia our server was so nice, professional, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. I had the Waygu filet and it was cooked perfectly to medium. My husband had the lasagna and had to take some home (he is thrilled) the portions are so generous. It was an expensive meal with the bottle of wine, but because the food, service, and ambiance was so lovely, we felt it was worth it. So glad we found it.
