Restaurants near Soldiers Sailors Monument

As always, it’s delicious. We come to this restaurant at least once or twice a month. It’s nice to see a lot of the same people work there and they always remember you and are very kind and quick with a smile. Would love the menu to change a little more often. But other Than that it’s fantastic. So the one thing you have to keep in mind it is a steakhouse basically so it’s gonna be a little bit more pricey. But it’s definitely worth it. MJ’s next-door, has more casual atmosphere a different more family, friendly menu, great cocktails, and an upbeat vibe with all the TVs.. thanks again guys! See you soon

We were in town for a show at the Garde. I ordered the short ribs and a tiramisu martini. The ribs were cooked to perfection … did not need a knife and they melted jn my mouth. My husband ordered steak and he also enjoyed his meal. Our server, Ryan, was very attentive and helpful. It was a nice date night!

The food and service were excellent. When I made my reservation, I specifically asked for a table in the side room. That is much quieter than the big room. I’m pleased to write that my request was honored. 

Visiting our daughter, son in law, and grandkids. Had a wonderful early Birthday lunch for son. Lovely restaurant and location, food was very good, great service. Will be back at a future trip

The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend The Helmsman.
