Restaurants near Sheffield Plain Historic District

The Red Lion Inn is one of the my happy places. This time a friend and I had lunch in the booth in the tavern. It was private and quiet. The menu selection was excellent and we loved salads, though I did think the salad serving was a bit skimpy, a change from the usual over-sized dishes. Over all, a wonderful and unique place where it seems appropriate to pay a premium price.

Our third time experiencing the charm and the fabulous cuisine at Old Inn on the Green. We drive in from Boston and will certainly return.

Don’t think twice about dining at Troutbeck. Everything was wonderful from the time I entered until I was finished. The dishes I ate were divine, a really enjoyable salad and a clever risotto dish. They skimp on nothing. The portions are beyond adequate. The staff is just wonderful, friendly, helpful and efficient. If you are in Dutchess County make it part of your stay.
