What is a gastro pub?” Gastronomy is the study of preparing and consuming food. A pub is a neighborhood spot for affordable food and good times. When you combine the two you get a neighborhood spot with a focus on food prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.

We were seated promptly. Water and beverage preferences and fresh bread with dipping oil were provided. Our waiter, Adian, was lovely. The Cauliflower soup with lobster was delicious. Also appreciated the extra roasted carrots provided by the house to try. Entrees of the Duck, cooked perfectly, and Halibut with scallops, each a good size, wree thoroughly enjoyed. Dessert was the perfect ending. The atmosphere with wood slce walls and twigs made it like eating in a tree house. Hope to return again soon.

We dined on a Thursday night. Restaurant was not full this particular evening. Easy to talk across the table. Love the selections of “bar food” and beer/cider. We usually overdo it and share a pizza, some sides, and maybe a burger. Dunstan Tap is a fun place to bring the family or hang out with your honey and eat too much.
