The North Hero House is located in the picturesque Lake Champlain Islands.Reservations made are for our Indoor Restaurant and full Menu. We do not currently offer outdoor seating at the North Hero House. Parties are seated on a first come, first served basis at the Pier Bar. Rí Rá is located in an historic bank building, designed by Boston based Harper & West, that was completed in 1931. The pub opened for the first time in March 1999, and was extended in 2002 with the addition of the Library area. In February 2012, The Whiskey Room opened its doors. As you enter Rí Rá, you can imagine yourself walking through a door that leads you across the pond to experience the best pubs of Ireland. The pub interiors were salvaged and restored in Ireland prior to being shipped to Vermont. We are proud to showcase a unique and genuine Irish pub in the heart of Burlington.

What a hidden gem. The restaurant is charming. We had a lovely spot in the front dining area overlooking the lake. We brought our out-of-town guests, and enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts and the saffron mussels for appetizers. Entrees were very good. The server was a pleasure, although the timing for serving was a little off (appetizers came before drinks; entrees were served before cleaning appetizer plates). That was overlooked because we had such an enjoyable evening. We will certainly return.

Plate is anyways great experience for dinner. I highly recommend going there. Aaron and Jennifer are great hosts, chef and whatever it takes to make guests happy kind of people.
