Restaurants near Ruby Valley Historical Marker

After staying at quite a few resorts in my time, I know that oftentimes it’s hard to get good quality food, for a decent price. Everything at The Cabin was exceptional. From our waitress, to the food to the vibe of the restaurant, it all flowed together so well. I got the walleye, which was amazing. & The person I was with got the elk tenderloins. After trying his, I couldn’t decide who had a better meal. We followed up with cheesecake and a coffee and were on our way. 10/10

Absolutely wonderful overall dining experience! I was not expecting how upscale it would be, based on being located in a hotel at a ski resort. Nice selection of handcrafted cocktails and an impressive wine cellar. My son and I each splurged on the Wagyu beef options (strip steak for him and tenderloin for me); both were cooked perfectly. My vegetarian DIL had many options too and was very pleased with her choices. Quiet subdued atmosphere. A special treat restaurant!

Menu is over-priced, and the food was inconsistent based on the 5 of us that ordered. the portions were quite big but the chicken wings were over cooked. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable of the menu. They reaccommodated our time and our table preference once we got there so that was positive.
