Our server was not very friendly. She took our order and we were trying to joke with her but she wouldn’t lighten up. The food was fair/good depending on the item. My steak was ordered medium rare but was more medium and it was not hot. My husband’s meal was a ‘special’ but was more pasta than seafood. At the end of the night, we were rushed to pay the bill and get out quickly. Too bad - we had high hopes for a good local establishment.

Great meal with delicious flavors in a very historic building in Glen Gardner. The service was timely and pleasant from all of the staff. Ashley the owner came to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary and gave us a brief history of the inn. Thanks to all. We will be back!

Food was very well prepared and tasted wonderful. Had the beef Wellington and the stone steak, which is a unique concept that I had never experienced. Beer selection was good, kielbasa app well prepared and a decent portion. After dinner went inside to the bar, which is ornate but pretty small. Overall worth the trip and we will return.

Taphouse Grille - Hackettstown has undergone some changes. We learned there’s new ownership which in turn updated the menu and has invested in improving the dining rooms and bar area…all that’s positive as was our experience. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival and immediately shown our preferred table request through the Open Table App. Our server was excellent. Helpful, professional, observant and attentive. We both enjoyed sharing a Greek salad as a starter and we each enjoyed our entree. Even with some adjustments everything arrived perfectly cooked (I asked for a medium rare burger and it was perfectly cooked). My wife’s pizza was very nicely done and we really enjoyed the experience.
