Restaurants near Rock Springs Conservation Area

Our meal was overall very good. Appetizer came out quickly. Entrée was delayed a bit, but when it arrived, it was correct, hot and very good. Our server was very nice and attentive, however, we were surprised by a couple of things. When we were seated there was a note on the reservation that it was our anniversary. Our server acknowledged it was a special occasion. Given that, we were a bit surprised that we were not asked if we would like dessert. I am not saying that we expected a free dessert - just that we thought we might be asked if we were wanting to enjoy a dessert to cap our anniversary dinner. In addition to not being asked about dessert, our ticket was brought to the table before all of us had finished eating. Our server politely said there was no hurry to pay, but it was a disappointing end to our meal. There was also a distraction during the dinner, although it didn't affect our food or service. When the hostess was seating a group, a menu fell from her arms, but she did not notice. While it was nothing tragic, it was very surprising to see the menu stay on the floor for the next 15 minutes while at least 24 staff members looked at it, walked over it, stepped on it, walked other guests over it when seating them, etc. It fell right as you enter the main dining room in the center of the aisle and was obvious. Again, menus fall, but given that Cooper's Hawk is considered a nicer restaurant, it was surprising to see so many staff see it but yet leave it in the middle of the floor for quite a long time. Expected a higher level of service.

The food and service was excellent. I received the food the way I expected. Service was very friendly and on top of everything.

We arrived very early in the evening about 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday, a little ahead of our reservation and chose to sit at the bar. I only glanced in the dining room but it looked very nice and the bar was wonderful. The cocktail menu is fabulous. The service was great. Our drinks were fantastic and we just had small shareable plates, steak nachos and steak sliders. Both great!! This place had ample service staff, all seemed well trained, professional and polite. This place definitely made our list of locations to return to, highly recommend.
