DANIEL DEL PRADOBorn in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Chef Daniel del Prado is the child of parents of Spanish and southern Italian descent. After moving to the United States in his early 20s, del Prado began his culinary career in Colorado—cooking at night and snowboarding during the day. Upon moving to Minneapolis, he had the opportunity to work in some of the finest kitchens in the Twin Cities. In 2009 del Prado teamed up with his mentor, Isaac Becker, to open Bar La Grassa in the North Loop. When it came time for del Prado to open his own concepts, he burst onto the Twin Cities scene with his premiere Linden Hills restaurant, Martina, and opened the Oaxacan Mexican-influenced Colita just a year after. Chef del Prado has continued to open new and innovative concepts.

Founded by restaurateur Marno McDermott and former Green Bay Packers player Max McGee in 1975, Chi-Chi's quickly became a beloved staple in the American dining scene. Initially opened in Richfield, Minnesota, the restaurant stood out with its vibrant Mexican "eatery" concept, enticing guests with family dining in a Mexican garden atmosphere and offering superb food and pitchers of margaritas.     This is a fantastic place to dine. The restaurant is beautiful aesthetically. High ceilings, tropical plants, good sized restaurant. Food is excellent! Highly recommend this establishment.

    Celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary at Porzana last night and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made the evening feel special. Our waiter Stefano was phenomenal, attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our night memorable without ever being intrusive. That kind of service is rare and it elevated the whole experience. The food matched the service every step of the way. Hands down the best steak I’ve had in Minneapolis, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Every course was thoughtful and well executed. If you’re looking for a restaurant in the North Loop for a special occasion, Porzana is it. 10/10, we’ll be back.
