Vertical Detroit opened its doors in 2015 under the expertise of James Lutfy and Remy Lutfy. Their combined fifty years of wine knowledge, obtained after owning the Fine Wine Source in Livonia, Michigan, studying wines across the globe and simply having an absolute passion for it, gave Vertical Detroit the title of Downtown Detroit’s first high-end, wine-centric restaurant. Vertical Detroit serves as a wine bar/restaurant/retail space in the historic Paradise Valley district of Downtown Detroit. The space gives patrons a luxurious, yet comfortable atmosphere to enjoy quality wine, beer and liquor, paired with small plates, entrées and desserts. The wine bar concentrates on wine flights, specialty cocktails, shareable plates and retail sales. The Longest Standing Restaurant In Greektown, DetroitBrothers Niko and Vasili Dionysopoulos came to America in the late 60’s. They started by selling produce to the Greek churches and then to the businesses in Greektown. They opened Apollo Market on Harper Ave in 1968 till 1970. Then they purchased the Golden Fleece on April 7th 1970. They worked ’till the late 2000’s. Their sons Spero and Yanni took over the family business and remodeled the building and concept after 50 years to continue to give Metro Detroit the authentic Greek experience and hospitality. Now they’re reopening the staple grocery and bakery next door bring the latest and finest Greek imports.The Dionysopoulos family would like to thank all of you for these amazing 50 years and looking forward to the next 50!
