Restaurants near River Lookout

White Pillars is an oasis in a food desert. There are plenty of fried seafood and bar food restaurants along the Gulf coast, White Pillars is a unique and tasty exception. The menu is creative and beautifully executed. The tomato salad is a work of art, the tartare and bone marrow is exquisite, and the crab rangoon ravioli is both light and fluffy while being spicy and savory simultaneously. Every dish we ate was interesting and beautifully presented. The bar has a fantastic dark wood feel while the dining room is bright and more formal. Almost forgot about the very tasty desserts, save space! If you want a dining experience White Pillars is where you need to go. We will be back very soon!

We are regulars and always enjoy it. This time we made reservations and requested a quieter corner window table. This is due to husbands PTSD as I try to help in areas possible. We arrived and there were many many empty tables next to window and away from others; however, we were seated smack in the middle table in between many others and away from the window. I did not complain as to not upset my husband and we just enjoyed the meal and left. Server was not the normal attentive servers but was ok. We will return again but ask that when your patrons make special requests during a reservation that you please accommodate them as you do not know reason why those requests are being made.

Lovely as usual. Killer drinks, and superb food. Staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly! Highly recommend!!
