Restaurants near Residence Inn Chicago Lake Forest/Mettawa

Eddie Merlot’s is our favorite restaurant. Last night I took my mom for a special dinner for her and our server Luiz was absolutely excellent. We love Eddie Merlot’s . My husband and I celebrate all of our special occasions there. The food is fantastic. The service is top notch and the ambience is always really pleasant. 

This was my first visit to Perry's and I was not disappointed. It had lived up to all that I've heard about it. The waiter could not have been more courteous and helpful. The only issue was one member of my party ordered the chicken Oscar. It was not warm and flavorless with only 4 pieces of crab meat on top his side of grilled vegetables were bland. My associate didn't bring this to the waiters attention because he didn't want to spoil everyone else s dinner.

I hosted a Holiday lunch and the attention we were afforded by our waiter and the manager was amazing. Very attentive. Excellent service. Food was great ! Memorable lunch.

We had not been here in while, because service was poor. Glad to report that service has improved, considerably. The food has been fantastic, and this visit was fantastic as well. I love the seasonal menu, and really appreciate how the food is much more innovative than other local restaurants. There was a loud group/party in bar, they were only reason to pull down ambiance and noise level. The restaurant is very open to bar, creating extra noise. We will be back again for happy hour.

Really good food. I had the bone in ribeye and it was delicious. Ordered a side salad and it was larger than expected which was good. Excellent drinks and wonderful service from Maurine. Pecan pie was wonderful too. Just a little cramped at in the booth and noisy. Overall really good!!
