Espetus Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse. This restaurant began in 2003, as an homage to the Brazilian cowboys who would cook each night by roasting meat over an open flame. Today, this form of dining has evolved to a totally unique culinary experience. Guests at Espetus are seated with a red and green painted wood block on the center of the table. If the diners are hungry, they place the green side face up and servers will come by with a wide array of grilled dishes on skewers.     Three of us had dinner and two of the dinners were excellent. I ordered the mushroom risotto and it was not good. The mushrooms were large, tough and cut vertically. They overwhelmed the dish. The other two diners had the lingcod piccata and the rigatoni with Italian sausage, which they both said were delicious. We all had the Caesar salad which was delicious, crunchy and full of shaved Parmesan. For dessert we shared cannoli and tiramisu. The cannoli were very good and the tiramisu was good. Our waiter was exceptional, very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return when in Foster City.

    My smokehouse burger was delicious and service was fine once we got waited on. Would have given it a 5 star except when we arrived ontime, hostess told us that reservations thru Open Table are not guaranteed. The place was packed but I pointed out an available table and she seated us but again telling me they only except reservations for parties of 10+. I asked why they are on Open Table if the reservation is not guaranteed? She had no answer.

    The food and value was great for the Sunday Brunch Buffet! I only gave them 4 stars because it was a little chaotic while going through the lines in the buffet. It was a free for all! Other than that, everything else was fantastic. Will definitely do it again!
