The Reef, originally called Comptons, was built by the Usina family on a beautiful piece of oceanfront property, owned by the family for generations, located on tranquil North Beach, three miles north of the Usina Bridge. Comptons opened in 1989 and enjoyed great success for the next ten years. It closed in 1999 due to the ill health of Mr. Compton and hurricane damage. There are few remaining true Oceanfront restaurants in Northeast Florida, and of those, The Reef, commands the most spectacular views. Sit at any table inside and the view is dynamic to say the least, or enjoy the recently rebuilt and expanded deck where you not only look out at The Ocean, you listen to it too as the waves break and the birds cry. To complement this vista Chef Denzel Aponte' has created a menu primarily of fish and seafood balanced with beef, poultry pasta and creative specials, always fresh and sourced locally whenever possible.

Dawn was our server. She was excellent. The scallop appetizer was fabulous. My husband had the shrimp supreme and I had stuffed shrimp. Wow! They were so amazing. Oh and the bread pudding was delicious too! Highly recommend the Columbia!

Hangar One Bistro provided the perfect setting for our date night! We were seated at a lovely corner table by the window, which offered a fantastic view. Our server was exceptionally kind and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. The food was truly outstanding—some of the best we have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend the scallops and the black and blue ribeye; both dishes were exquisite. The crab cakes were unique in presentation, and the crème brûlée was freshly made, featuring the delightful contrast of a cold center and a warm top—a rarity these days! We also had the pleasure of sampling their Polish liqueur, which was delicious and delightfully potent. Overall, our experience at Hangar One Bistro was memorable, and we can't wait to return!

Raintree is one of our favorite restaurants in St. A. We made reservations and the table was ready right on time. Laszlo did an excellent job of caring for us during the meal. Very friendly and efficient. Debbie had the Baked Salmon and I had the Mahi Picatta. Both meals were excellent in taste and quantity. Raintree adds a 15% tip / gratuity to all meals. You are informed of that upfront. It's also on the menu and on the check. We have been there several times now and they have never disappointed.

Surely a wow experience! A lovely setting & a view of the ocean The Decor was beautiful, tastefully arranged with Great colors thru out Resturant All the staff was helpful and attentive from beginning to end The menu was very tasty, we enjoyed the appetizer bang bang shrimp followed by a grilled Caesar Salad it was wonderful. We ordered the Stuffed Salmon dinner which was Amazing So Tasty and full of Flavor with a Nice selection of Veggies we ate every bite The Scallop Risotto was good, but not enough attention given to the Risotto, not cooked or creamy enough, My big plate was partially empty, it needed to be served with a veggie to have a presentation and excitement when served , like we got with Salmon The menu needed a White meat entree Pork or Chicken to complete it . All in all, a wonderful time was had on Valentine’s Day We are happy such a Amazing new venue has opened so very close to our home. Will see you all again very soon bon ap pe tit to all that dine
