The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. Absolutely amazing. We came to celebrate a birthday. We were welcomed so beautifully to the restaurant, our server was incredibly kind and welcoming, explained everything about the menu options very detailed and the story of their traditional tasting menu and its inspiration. The courses were perfectly spaced out, and we felt just the right amount of attention from the staff. The rest of the staff were really good as well, explaining every dish when serving. The treated us to a delicious birthday cake and a beautiful rose. Amazing experience, will definitely come back.
