Beautiful staff complemented the beautiful food in a beautiful setting by the river. Happy days.

We had a really lovely business lunch at Corbett & Claude in the CBD yesterday. The check-in process was smooth and there was no issue with our group being much smaller than nominated in the booking. Food was easy to order, arrived promptly and everyone was happy with the meals. The pizzas looked and tasted divine and salads were well put together. We experienced a bit of noise due to sitting next to a bridal party in the courtyard, but otherwise no issues. Great ambience and would definitely visit again!

The food was delicious overall and the service was wonderful. We did wine pairings for my in laws and our waitress was really great with recommendations as well as alternatives if we requested it. There was an issue where my husband's lamb main was much smaller than the others (we had lamb too) and they offered to cook a new plate but we settled on another side in the end. The only other issue was the Roasted Fig dessert had barely any figs in it (not even 1 whole small fig when the dessert is called Roasted Fig) so it was not enough to balance the saltiness of the whipped Mascarpone cheese. We forgot to bring it up with the waitress though, so perhaps they would have rectified it. Aside from that dessert, everything else was amazing!

Couldn't fault the food and service at Cru, the portion sizes of the share plates were generous, the selection broad, and the quality and freshness of the food fantastic. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and very friendly and warm. The only negative was that the lighting at the table was so low it was difficult to read the menu, and the air conditioning was quite cold, though the server did attempt to get it turned up for us, which helped. Overall would highly recommend CRU Bar as an exceptional place to dine.

Food interesting and extremely tasty. Service is exceptional, and a benchmark for the hospitality industry.
