Fantastic food and wine choice. The ambience was some what ruined by the choice of music playing at the time. It was out of keeping.

Nice pub/restaurant and great friendly staff. Very busy when we visited so meals were a bit slow coming out but staff were very apologetic. Food was OK but not that flavoursome. Menu could do with a bit more explanation of what is included in the description - especially the main meals.

The Fleece overlooks the green in the heart of beautiful Witney. Parking was plentiful and the perfect place to stop for a stroll around the shops too. Greeted by a warm welcome, we were shown to our table and served by James, who couldn’t have provided a better service. I chose from the specials board, Asparagus to start then the delightful Monkfish, cooked in paper to retain the juices and sitting proudly on a bed of mussels, olives and sweet tiny tomatoes. My Husband, the birthday boy, had crab and then the succulent rolled Pork Belly. All the food was delicious, served promptly accompanied with a very tasty cocktail. No room for pudding. Sadly, the Fleece is about two hours drive away for us because we would undoubtedly return regularly. If you are in the area, don’t miss this opportunity. We loved it.

Booked afternoon tea for a 70th Birthday the afternoon tea was amazing and gifted the Birthday girl an amazing cake and glass of presseco on the house. Very impressed with the lovely waitress how was so friendly and really made the day special will differently be back
