Dinner for two at Gibson’s Italia Chicago 🤍 We shared: -2 orders of the colossal U-12 prawns, we had them grilled $25.00 -Spicy Rigatoni: Tomato vodka sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh ricotta $23.00 -Carrara 640 Wagyu 14oz NY Strip steak $99.00 -Crispy Brussels Sprouts: Crispy prosciutto, red finger chili, maple glaze & Parmigiano Reggiano $16.00 -Hen of the Wood Mushrooms: Wagyu fat, chives, fiore red wine sauce $19.00 -Fresh cut French Fries $12.00 -Charred Asparagus: Chive Aioli & Parmigiano Reggiano $10.00 -Foie Gras Red Wine Sauce for the steak $6.00 -Black Truffle Butter for the prawns $4.00 10/10 girls night out, no notes. We adored it! My colleague and I grabbed an early rez and asked to sit outside when we arrived, to enjoy to the unseasonably warm October weather. The hostess accommodated, noting we’d have to vacate in 1 hour, 45 minutes for the next seating. We accepted because the indoor volume was quite loud. All staff and servers were amazing and the food — THE FOOD! So many complementary tastes, textures, and temps! All ingredients were perfectly ripe and delicious. Very inventive dishes and unique drinks list. Our only “complaint” was that we barely put the serving spoon down on the family-style plates before someone cleared them. There were valuable last-bites in those dishes that we lost. We think they were trying to ensure the table was ready for the next guests, but we left with time to spare. Either way, we absolutely would come again. Kudus to the back- and front-of-house staff.

Excellent and tasty food choice. My go-to is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. AMAZING! They also serve one of the best lemonades I'v ever had. I've only had their special surprise deserts when attending birthday celebrations and they are outstanding. Excellent food. Excellent service. Beautiful dining area. Great views. Pizzeria Portofini cannot be topped.

A true Chicago experience that is not to be missed. Plus, excellent food.. and lunch cheaper that a corner fast food joint. Go!
