This is our second trip to Philadelphia and tonight was our second time dining at The Love. Both experiences were different and yet both were delightful and delicious. The first time we ate upstairs in a cute corner and ordered more food than we could eat because everything sounded (and was) delicious. Tonight we were seated outside, narrowed our food choices down a little better and everything was (still) delicious. Our waiter, the first time, was patient and gracious with our questions. Our waitress, during our second visit, was so sweet and attentive. Point being that both visits, months apart, were great. I highly, highly recommend The Love and, if we’re ever back in Philly, will definitely come again.

All 5's, so you could say we had a most enjoyable lunch. Excellent service by the hostess & wait-staff. Excellent food & drink (two salads & omelettes & house wines). Thank you Mark. You and your staff did an excellent job. Looking forward to our next visit for some Shepard's Pie.

We enjoyed our second visit to Talula's Garden last night. I cannot say enough about the thoughtfulness of the management and waitstaff. We were late due to accidents on the Schuylkill and needed to rush. The thoughtfulness started before we arrived. It was expected to be cooler weather than usual and I received a call regarding my outside dinner reservation in the afternoon telling me that they do have heaters but that I should bring jackets to assure we were comfortable. We really enjoyed our pre-theater dinner before seeing a show at the Walnut Street Theater. We were brought drinks almost immediately by our excellent waiter, each of us enjoyed our cheddar biscuits and soup and our entrees were delicious! We especially enjoyed the seared salmon entree. Although our food was served very quickly, due to running late we needed to get to the theater and were unable to stay for dessert. The restaurant gave us a cinnamon cake to share, which was a perfect ending to a great meal! We will definitely be back to enjoy the lovely ambiance, beyond excellent service and delicious food.

The trout was perfect. The sauce with roe and dill was perfectly balanced. Our guests raved about the mushroom toast and salads. Only suggestion: They need to be able to lower the shades as there was a glare in our eyes from the sun.
