My wife and I had Tagliata on our “must try” list for years so we decided to celebrate a milestone birthday with a special dinner on an overnight trip to Baltimore. We were not disappointed! Our server, Zuleika, was most personable and by far one of the best we have ever had. Her recommendations and explanation of the various dishes were outstanding. We took her suggestions and started light with a caprese salad along with the Tuscan fried chicken appetizer that was absolutely delectable. On Zuleika’s recommendation, we splurged and split a special of corn sauce pasta that was simply amazing. For entrees, my wife had the Squid Ink Campanelle and I had the Smoked Duck. Both dishes were just perfect. We were going to pass on dessert but were pleasantly surprised when Zee brought my wife the Lemon Olive Oil cake with a birthday candle. It was splendid! Tagliata offers a fantastic cocktail menu and of course we had to enjoy a few - the Sole Toscana made with Sagamore rye, and the Belzoni made with Four Roses bourbon.  I highly recommend Tagliata for a truly exceptional dining experience. We hope to return soon!

We’ve dined for lunch at Maximón several times, and each has been excellent. Today was no exception. The restaurant is very attractive and comfortable. There was a lotta buzz today, with a large, energetic crowd packed in the dining room and on the patio overlooking the harbor. Zoe was our server, and she did a great job, despite other big parties keeping her very busy. The food was delicious! Every dish is beautifully presented—more like food art. Panda, the bartender, made my wife mezcalitas with real zing. For starters, we enjoyed a Mexican shrimp cocktail bathed in a spicy agua chile roja, along with a yellowtail tiradito in a mango amarillo sauce. For entrées, my wife loved her hefty avocado toast, while I was thrilled with my soft tacos: one with carne asada; one with grilled shrimp and roasted pineapple salsa; one with smoked and pickled mushrooms. The yellow corn tortillas were awesome! Very fragrant and tasty. Maximón earns its place on our standard Harbor East dining rotation. Highly recommend.
