Restaurants near Market Square

The view is the whole reason you dine there, and it did not disappoint! There were decent food options and the prices were to be expected, as I considered it somewhere between kind of fancy and fine dining from what I read before actually going for the first time. The only hiccup we had was that my husband order his steak medium rare and it came out very rare. No issue, the waiter took it back for it to be fixed and a manager (I think?) Brought it out to him, asked him to cut in to it to be sure of it's doneness, and it was what he wanted. The whole experience overall was lovely, and exactly what I was hoping for in our first trip to San Antonio!

We had a great experience at Mon Chou Chou, but we always do! The daily prix fixe at $22 is terrific value for salad, main, dessert and tea/coffee. Not only is it great value, but it was delicious. I recommend the salmon with lentils. The fish was cooked to perfection. The sauce was creamy and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We will return again.

Outstanding experience! We had a table for 7. Waiter went above and beyond for us all. Food was so great, everyone was so happy! We will be back.
