As usual the food was great. However, we were at a table for two with a table of eight on one side and a table of four on the other side. Because of that the noise level was a little strong. We do have a comment about the service. When my wife was served her Beef Carpaccio she was not offered cracked pepper with it. The server did not even have the cracked pepper with her. Because our server was busy with the table of eight we were served with her assistant for the rest of our meal. The assistant was great providing great service in a very friendly manner. We had ordered dessert and were just starting to enjoy it when our primary server , who we had not seen since we ordered appetizers, came to our table and put the bill down. In the many years we have dined here we have never had the bill brought to our table before we finished eating. Maybe some training is needed. We love the food and the normally great service. We will return.

Our waiter was Tom, very personable and fun person who served us perfectly. Food was SO delicious, the atmosphere was perfect. My daughter and I celebrated Mother’s Day together.

Great service and the new menu is great. Try the portobello mushrooms . . . Very good.

We had a great time hanging out at Highland House on Cinco de Mayo. We came from Missing Links across the street where we warmed up our swing for the upcoming season. Highland House was an easy choice for Margarita’s and tacos. 

Fish fry was great. Special was sliced beef on a baguette with au jus for dipping. Kind of tasteless. One of us had a Rueben which was good. Great beer choices. Overall the service was good, but really noisy on the enclosed porch. We’ve been here many times. Beautiful building, exposed timbers, beer caves below.
