We were visiting New York on a quick business trip and wanted an authentic Italian meal while in town. A friend that had lived in New York year’s ago recommended Carmine’s. She went to the original restaurant back then. We took a chance and fell in love with the atmosphere, service, and just amazing quality of food. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional Italian restaurant that serves you like you are family!

Our server was very attentive and the host also stopped by a couple of times to check on us. Our meal was fresh and hot. And, they did not rush us as we were two cherished friends enjoying a leisurely evening. We'll be back.

We started with the Escargots de Bourgogne, swimming in a rich garlic-parsley butter, and the Steak Tartare, which was perfectly seasoned and served with crisp baguette slices. Each bite was a delight, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. For the main course, the Duck Confit was simply divine—tender, flavorful, and complemented by a side of crispy potatoes. The lamb chops were another standout, cooked to perfection. Paired with a bottle of Chamblix from their extensive wine list, the meal was nothing short of perfection. Dessert was an absolute must. The Crème Brûlée had the perfect balance of creamy vanilla custard and a crisp caramelized top, while the cheesecake was a masterpiece. Each dessert was an elegant finish to an already unforgettable meal. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Evan and Jamie made us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout the evening. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic date night, or simply indulging in a luxurious meal, La Grande Boucherie is an exceptional dining destination.
