Restaurants near Mahlon Dickerson County Reservation

Was our first time at Rails and it did not disappoint! We were seated immediately, at a table that was upstairs just outside the bar. Our server was friendly but professional. Liked the timing of the service-we got our drinks, and had time to look at the menu. The appetizers arrived about 15 minutes later and we were given ample time to finish them and sit for a few minutes before the entrees were served. The portions were very generous and we ended up taking some home. In all, we spent about 2 hours there. The food was delicious; we had the Waygu burger, short ribs and baked salmon with sides of the sautéed mushrooms and smoked Gouda mac n’ cheese ( really special!). Dessert was the lemon bar, chocolate caramel cake & cappuccino. This dinner was to celebrate a birthday of one in our group…..what a find! We’ll be back real soon!

We were so happy to have discovered Boneyard driving through Lake Mohawk. The food was super fresh, perfectly prepared, and the service was fine. It offered innovative twists on traditional Mexican restaurant dishes and some new ones, like grilled Mahi Mahi with mano salsa and fried plantains. It belongs on the list of standard/ go to restaurants in that area of Sparta. Well worth a visit.

Our Waitress was very attentive filling water glasses and drinks. She helped with menu choice and kept an eye on the table to clear dishes. We enjoyed our dinner and did not feel rushed. Thank you we will be back.

As always, we had a fantastic time at Kroghs! And, we LOVED the Kroghs Nest bar - we "may" have stayed a little longer than we should have - enjoying the view, and the conversation . . . and cocktails!
