Restaurants near Madera District Fair

We were delayed on a red eye flight after a week visiting Yosemite Sequoia and Kings Canyon and decided to visit Max’s Bistro. Service was great, food was excellent and martinis were perfect with a diverse selection of food choices. This dinner was the best meal we had the entire trip. We would highly recommend this restaurant and were happy not to visit the familiar alternatives like Fleming’s or Ruth’s Chris.

Amazing Turnaround and Exceptional Service! We had an issue here on Mother’s Day, but the General Manager, Lanier Brazile, personally called to make it right — and he absolutely did. From start to finish, the staff was on point and made our dining experience exceptional. Our server, Andrew, was truly one of the best I’ve ever had — and that says a lot because I’ve been in the industry for years. His professionalism, menu knowledge, and confidence made all the difference as he guided us through the options. His drink recommendations were also spot on! The kitchen delivered an outstanding meal, perfectly executed. Manager Gabriel also stopped by to greet us — so great to see him back in Fresno. This is why I love this restaurant. Great leadership, amazing service, and a team that genuinely cares. Huge shoutout to Andrew for making our dinner unforgettable! We’ll definitely be back.

Our server wasnt as attentive as we would like but another server was happy to help when our water was out, etc. We were lucky to get the last two orders of the breakfast enchiladas but we find that they do run out of a lot of brunch items on the weekends which is disappointing. They did say no poached eggs. Not sure how they prep but it would be nice to go and know you can get what you want.
