Restaurants near Loon Lake Recreation Site

The food was fantastic- the Swiss fondue, short ribs and black cod were delicious. Our server, Lisa was great! Was seated in a back room, was a little strange. But over a great place to eat.

Food was wonderful. We had the filet, ahi tuna appetizer, beat salad, brussel sprouts and Mac & cheese. Everything was excellent. Service was great. Highly recommend!

A friend in Grants Pass told us about Restaurant O. While visiting Coos Bay, we made a reservation. The service was outstanding, and the food sublime. The halibut was about the best I've ever had. Most entrees are served with two sides; we picked salads, sauteed veggies, and bok choy. All were excellent. For dessert, we chose the tiramisu trio, and the strawberry cheesecake with strawberry sorbet. Presentation was stunning, and they were not overly sweet (a very good thing). We sat near the kitchen, and while it was interesting watching dishes being prepared, it was a bit noisy with the kitchen music and the banter between chefs' cooks. We'll solve that next time by requesting another table. On the whole, it is incredible that such a restaurant exists in Coos Bay, OR (It has a Michelin star rating!) I highly recommend!

The food here is excellent. The night I dined there there was only one waiter literally running from table to table trying to keep up. I didn’t get my glass of wine until I was half way through my entree. The waiter was a very pleasant man and worked hard. This strikes me as more of a family restaurant not very fancy but good food at very reasonable prices
