Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. When I was a child I grew up with my mother, grandmother and aunt. All of them were very good in the kitchen. They had different styles and they cooked every day. From ravioli, soup or patisserie, everything was made from scratch. Those ladies were my teachers. My first lesson was dishwashing, later it was helping as their assistant. To honor those amazing woman who helped me in my early days, I decided to open Tarquin to bring Sioux Falls our flavors, recipes and dishes. Tarquin is a piece of Buenos Aires in a remote corner of Sioux Falls commercial district. You are always going to be welcome here and we will always offer you our best.

Maribella is one of our favorite places to visit and the only place that came to mind when looking for a place to celebrate our anniversary. This family owned business treats everyone that comes in like their own family. The food is amazing, they have a fun mocktail menu, and the building and decorations are beautiful.

What an amazing dining experience! We took my parents for a nice dinner before an event at the Orpheum and we all agreed this was one of the best meals we had ever had! Our server was fun and knowledgeable. The building has a rich history and is decorated very nicely. Our only complaint was the large party seated right by us when we had reservations several days ahead of time and were the first diners there that night. There was plenty of space for us to have sat elsewhere.
