We really enjoyed our visit to the Tollbooth restaurant. The place has a lovely ambiance and the staff were very friendly and also efficient. The food was well cooked and nicely presented.

The third visit here and it’s stayed at the same high standard. It’s very relaxed but people go semi formal or casual and it’s good for any group or individual or couple to dine. Very good food choice, you won’t see tables cleaned better anywhere and the staff are very friendly

Surprisingly quiet for. Fri lunch but we weren’t complaining. The be waiter did brilliantly getting drinks, taking orders, answering the phone and serving food all with a great attitude to customers. Food was very good with a large helping of fish for my wife and a very good burger that lacked a bit of thought or imagination to add to the ‘presentation’ with say some salad or coleslaw rather than just burger and fries on the plate. Cullen skink was awesome though and my wife’s rice pudding desert superb. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Excellent from start to finish - staff very welcoming. Food was excellent!!
