Lovely ambiance, amazing service & the food was great! Would definitely visit again.

German food in the area within two hours of Knoxville consists of bratts and beer. This was a first time here and we had German pot roast and a pork shank prepared like Schweinshaxe. Sides included potato pancakes and red cabbage. Our beer was a hefeweizen. All of it was top notch, as good as anything we've encountered. And the prices were very reasonable. Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance both outside and inside the restaurant, this is real home-made German food.

We made reservations and seated promptly. Our waitress Madison was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Our meals were delicious, we ordered trout, 28 oz rib eye (we shared this) and NY strip streak. Order mushrooms, Mac and cheese, and bake potatoes as our sides. The bread also was delicious We would return when we got back to Gaitlenburg!!!!!

The food was really good and we had awesome service. Highly recommend the brisket!
