We visited this beer restaurant in Würzburg and had a mostly positive experience. While we don’t speak German, we asked for an English menu. Unfortunately, the first waitress told us it wasn’t available — which turned out not to be true. Thankfully, Lora stepped in and really turned things around. She was friendly, spoke English well, and kindly provided the English menu. She also took time to explain the different beer options and food items, which we really appreciated. The beer was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. The only downside was the pig knuckle — it was quite overcooked and dry, possibly because it was the end of the day. Overall, a decent experience with good service from Lora. Worth a visit, especially if you’re looking for traditional German beer and food.

Very enjoyable dinner. location is over the old bridge with a view of the fortress. Professional and excellent service from being shown to the table, taking the order and serving. the food presentation and quality is excellent. choice of wines and drinks. highly recommend.

Great place for a weekend getaway. The modern side has a private terrace if you want to enjoy a bottle of wine in peace. Service was super awesome (people spoke English during the day and if they did not, they made a super effort to find someone who understood). The only reason I have this wonderful place 3 stars for service, was due to this one horrible old man who was taking care of the night desk. We called the front desk to warn the staff about broken glass in the terrace that was blown over during strong winds in the evening of 24 Aug 2024. The man who answered seemed disturbed by the call and was very mean and rude, in German. “Come to the front desk!” He said. We said, never mind and sorry to disturb you. Otherwise, this is a quiet and cozy place. Walk the vineyards in the early morning or late afternoon.
