The food — mainly Sunday roasts — was excellent. Generous portions, well prepared, and full of flavour. The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and service was prompt throughout. The setting is lovely: comfortable, welcoming, and ideal for a relaxed meal.

Our party of 5 had 3 different starters and 4 different mains, all were very good and the waitress was very nice. Only one little complaint - the bowl of olives to whet our appetites was served along with our starters; it should have been produced earlier, with the drinks.

We were staying on site so went twice. Both times the staff were excellent in finding a comfortable chair for my son who has certain needs. The food was five star and the staff attentative to needs. Highly recommended.

Having booked under the old 'regime', I didn't know what to expect. I was met with relaxed warmth, openness about teething problems (the changeover is ongoing) and always felt very at home - I stayed 2 nights as well as eating. The food was so good - the ribs and marmite potatoes (yes really) absolutely perfectly done, with good beer to choose from and just really good vibes all round. I look forward to returning next year to see how well Rwts are doing.
