Bata certainly has its heart in the right place and we tried maybe 7 dishes last night. I must say all were interesting and an enjoyable blend of flavors. My only disappointment was the Chilean seabass which @ $42 was very minimal in portion but even more so the exterior was very dry as were the greens served with it. It appeared to be served "blackened" but they missed the mark on this. The flattened bread was great and the peach/ squash salad a delight. The ahi crudités were well presented and all the other samples were flavorful. Drinks were creative and the atmosphere was vibrant and busy. We will be back - be prepared to spend some money.

The Brussels are my favorite always! This place is delicious.

Very good experience overall. The only problem was the loud music played by the DJ. For a 10:30 am Mother's Day brunch it was too much. At an event like that, families want to talk, not be bombarded by base notes. Our server asked the DJ to turn it down, and he did. But shortly afterwards he turned it up again. I don't think anyone asked him to. He just seemed to like to play it loud and thumpy.
