Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only. We came to Hudson and Essex for dinner. We had every intention of ordering entrées, but after we received our appetizer the *small* charcuterie board, we instantly knew that we weren’t going to be able to finish that and entrées. So my husband and I split the small charcuterie board and each had a cocktail. It was lovely. Very good service!

Great service! From the food, runners and buses, servers, bartenders and management-everyone is so conscientious and pleasant. Food is a step above your usual bar fare. Lots of TVs and great live music on the weekends. We’ve seen several musical acts and they’ve all been excellent.
