Restaurants near John's Watson Park

We went for a birthday dinner to the new Firebirds in Yardley and it was very good. We will absolutely come back, here are my pros and cons Pro: Service was great, waitress brought drinks quick, got refills fast, helped with menu questions and overall was just great. Food was good..not amazing but very good and everything came out in a timely manner. Our kids meals came quick and that was great for them. I order a martini, tased good, could have been bigger! I also had wine, the pour was very generous and the glass was big and thin (the wine girlies know ;) It was my birthday and they wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate on my dessert and gave me a birthday card signed by all the staff working that night, it was so sweet and better than getting sung too LOL. We didn't finish all our food and they asked us if we wanted them to wrap the food or boxes brought to the table, which was nice. Con: I didn't love our booth, it was very deep seating so I felt like the table was at my chest (I'm 5'9") and when sitting there the table was like a foot + away from me. It was just awkward, I had to kinda sit on my legs and lean on the table. Not a big deal, but just something I noticed. Parking could be an issue, not their fault really, but if it's busy you'll have to park at Wegmans and walk over. The bathroom only has 2 stalls, it's a big place so that could be an issue if it's busy, but it was a very nice bathroom. The martini glass was "chunky" and small....I feel like they could invest in some better martini glasses & when you order a martin they bring the glass and shaker to the table but take the shaker! Leave the shaker, I want that ice! Overall we liked this place a lot and will be back! Hope you enjoy!

Always a great place to have a great meal...... the servers are always wonderful and personable. Just a fantastic local place to have dinner!

We had an extremely pleasant experience. Great drinks and wine selection. Calamari was some of the best we've had. Both entrées, saltimbocca and cacciatore, were prepared extremely well. Waitress was friendly and consistently checked on us throughout the meal. Would happily return to try any other dish.

There were seven of us for the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner. It was a bargain! $70/pp for a four course and delicious meal. Four choices: traditional turkey, salmon, prime rib and vegetarian. All were terrific. Every course was fantastic and everyone was happy with their choices. A manager assisted the staff in keeping the service running smoothly. The entire staff was fantastic. The restaurant was completely booked and the way it is laid out in a series of small rooms, the noise level was low and the atmosphere intimate. I have been here several times for brunch, lunch and dinner and it is consistently fantastic.

Food and drinks never disappoint. Great bar service, friendly efficient staff.
